Checking the price of silver or gold, finding out the value of the S&P 500 or NASDAQ, looking at the price of a barrel of oil, and similar market queries — a daily task for many who follow or trade them. Usually you open investment apps, exchange sites, or financial aggregators for this. VELA's AI assistant clears that routine right in Telegram — with one message in the chat.
What the module does and which plan it's on
Quotes for market indices, precious metals, and commodities are available on the free Basic plan right after you connect your Telegram bot to VELA.
What exactly the AI assistant can do:
Market indices — S&P 500, NASDAQ, Dow Jones, Russell 2000, Nikkei 225, and others
Precious metals — gold, silver, platinum, palladium, copper, etc.
Oil and gas — WTI, Brent, natural gas (only these three energy commodities)
Agricultural commodities — wheat, corn, soybeans, coffee, cotton, sugar, cocoa, etc.
24-hour price change for each asset

If you're interested in tracking currency, crypto, and stock rates — more on that in a separate article.
How to set it up
The module is active on Basic right after you connect to VELA — no actions needed in the dashboard. Quotes for metals, indices, oil, gas, and so on are always shown in USD.
How to use it: example requests
Write your message in plain words — no special commands.
Example requests to the AI assistant:
"Gold price" — the current XAU quote in USD with the 24-hour change
"Silver now" — the silver quote
"Platinum" — the platinum price
"S&P 500" — the current index value
"NASDAQ today" — the index quote
"Brent crude" — the price per barrel
"WTI" — the US oil quote
"Natural gas" — the gas price
"Wheat" — the wheat quote on the exchange
"How much is coffee" — the price of coffee as a commodity
The AI assistant returns the asset name, the current price, and the change over the last 24 hours. Data comes from open financial sources — enough for daily monitoring.

By voice
You don't have to type. The AI assistant recognizes voice messages and handles them just like text.
Dictate a voice note: "how much is gold right now" or "show me the S&P 500" — the AI assistant transcribes the speech and replies in text with current data. Handy when your hands are busy. If it mishears an index or asset name, just send the ticker as text.

What the module can't do
Honest limits — so there are no surprises:
No historical data. Only the current price and the 24-hour change. Charts over a chosen period aren't supported.
No technical analysis. RSI, MACD, support and resistance levels, and other analysis tools are outside the module.
Data isn't real-time. Quotes come from open financial sources with a slight delay. Enough for daily monitoring, not for high-frequency trading.
Price alerts are a separate module. If you need an alert like "notify me when gold reaches $3,500," that's the Price Alerts module, available on Pro.
No buying or selling of assets. The AI assistant only informs you about prices; it doesn't open trades anywhere.
If you want to get quotes automatically every morning — that's the "Morning Digest" module. On Pro, you can add up to 10 assets to the digest; on Basic — up to 5.

Why it's easier than separate apps
Every time you need to check an asset's price through a separate site or app — it's a context switch and a distraction from what's already always open: Telegram. The AI assistant answers a plain question right in the chat: the result is in the same place as everything else, the request history is kept, and you can ask something else next.
Telegram is installed on your computer and/or phone — no need to download a separate finance app for a few general queries a day. Everything in one place and always at hand.
FAQ
Do I need to turn the module on manually? No. On Basic, the module is active right after you connect your Telegram bot to VELA. No actions needed in the dashboard.
Are indices and precious metals paid? No, they're available on the free Basic plan. The paid Pro plan is needed only for price alerts and for searching rare crypto tokens by ticker or contract address.
Can I ask for several assets at once? Yes. Write "gold and the S&P 500" or "Brent crude and NASDAQ" — the AI assistant returns both values in one reply.
Can I add these assets to the morning digest? Yes. On Pro — up to 10 assets, including indices, precious metals, and commodities. On Basic — up to 5 assets in the digest.
How often is the data updated? Quotes come from open financial sources. There's a slight delay — enough for daily price monitoring; for intraday trading, it's better to use specialized terminals and services.
